Tara's Italian Pasta with White Beans (Pasta Fagiol) Classic Version

Two 16 ounce cans chopped tomatoes
One 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup mushrooms chopped

Two cans white beans or “Cannellini” beans
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
½ tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon basil or Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon parsley
1teaspoon onion powder
1 can chopped black olives
1 pound pasta, cooked and drained

Saute garlic and mushrooms. Add rest of ingredients (except pasta). Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Mix all ingredients. Serve with salad and Italian bread for a nutritious and delicious Italian meal!
May sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
