Jerusalem has been the ancestral, eternal and undivided capital of Jerusalem for thousands of years.

King David established Jerusalem as the capital city of the first Jewish Kingdom more than 3,000 years ago! 

The Jewish people in the land of Israel today are the indigenous people of this land, back as sovereign after 2,000 years of exile. Today's modern State of Israel is the third Jewish commonwealth.
