Exo 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying: In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household;
Exo 12:4 and if the household be too little for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbour next unto his house take one according to the number of the souls; according to every man's eating ye shall make your count for the lamb.
Exo 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year; ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats;
Exo 12:6 and ye shall keep it unto the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at dusk.
Exo 12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.
Exo 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exo 12:9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; its head with its legs and with the inwards thereof.
Exo 12:10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
Exo 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it: with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste - it is the LORD'S passover.
Exo 12:12 For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will smite all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD.
Exo 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
Exo 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial, and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. ( verses 15-28 are a torah study placed here for brevity and your learning and to be an blessing to you) II Tim. 2:15!
Notice the last verse? When THE LORD G-D commands forever...HE means it. As children of God we keep it, there is no substitute for it and no excuse not to.With the preparations in place, we can move on with something that G-d has no choice to carry out, the judgment of Egypt.
Exo 11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there hath been none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
Exo 11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog whet his tongue, against man or beast; that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
Not all of Egypt would die, for God had not decreed to destroy all of Egypt, but only to correct it. G-d permitted the rest to live, and only passed sentence of death on all the first-born, beginning with the eldest of Pharaoh's sons, and ceasing with the first-born son of the most obscure grinder at the mill for, about midnight, all those children who had been the first to address their fathers and their mothers, and who had also been the first to be addressed by them as their sons, though they were in good health and in full vigor of body, all, without any apparent cause, were suddenly slain in their their youth or no matter the age died. There were, too, those that sought out Moses to protect them from the plague to come. Now against the children of Israel if they followed the Passover not one of them would die.
In the former part of the verse of Exo 11:7 reads; But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog whet his tongue, against man or beast. is a very direct reference to the god anubis. This is the half human jackle-headed god (jackles are in the K-9 family) over death and the underworld and embalming. This is the god that the Egyptians would have made sacrifices to so that their loved ones would be "guided safely to the other side." The Egyptians learned that the one and only god was the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
