50 years ago on June 27, 1976, an Air France plane was hijacked from Paris, France to Entebbe, Uganda. On board were 103 Israeli citizens. Palestinian terrorists hijacked the plan.
The hijackers freed 258 passengers and crew who were not Israeli citizens or Jewish by birth.
On July 4th, 7 days later, Israel rescued the hostages. Israel lost one soldier, Yoni Netanyahu, brother of now Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and 3 hostages. It was an amazing rescue.
