Singer HALO (Hila Ben David) talks about her grandmother’s Holocaust experience.

She says her grandmother survived the Holocaust and came to Israel in 1949, built a family, and lived to see grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  So her commentary centers on inherited silence, the weight of unspoken trauma, and her own role as the granddaughter who gathers the fragments and gives voice to that memory through her music.
