Eilat is an Israeli port city in the southern part of the country near Jordan. The beaches along the Red Sea are noted for their placid waters, dolphins, coral reefs, and underwater trails traversing a beachside nature reserve. Restaurants, shopping, boardwalks, and ice skating are other passtimes in this coastal town.
Nearby Timna Park offers family oriented activities such as camping, hiking, and bike trails. The park is known for also being an ancient 15,000 acre copper mine.
