The Elah Valley

Most of us are familiar with the story of David and Goliath. Goliath and the Philistines were at war with Israel.

King Saul and his army were in one camp, and the Philistines in another. Every day the Philistine champion, the giant Goliath, would come out and taunt the army of Israel, asking if anyone was brave enough to take him on.

David, the youngest of eight brothers, was sent by his father to bring food to his brothers, who were in the army. When David heard the taunting of Goliath, he was enraged because Goliath was not just taunting the army, but was also taunting God.

David went to King Saul and said he would fight Goliath. David was not to be dissuaded. Without armor and just 5 small stones David defeated Goliath.

It is thought that this all took place in the Elah Valley, which is the subject of this video.
