1 Samuel 8-11: Tall But Small: Why God Chose the Most Insecure Man to Be King of Israel

The tallest man in Israel. Handsome. Chosen by God. But on his coronation day - he was hiding!

In this deep dive into 1 Samuel Chapters 8-11, Rabbi Jeff Zaremsky explores one of the most interesting and personally convicting stories in all of Scripture -  the rise of King Saul. His story also foreshadows insecurity, calling, humility, and identity in God.

Israel demanded a king. God warned them exactly what would happen. They didn’t listen. God in his grace gave them what they wanted and managed to point them - and us - toward the Messiah to come.
