Here is a beautiful melody of the “Silent Lamb” who bore our iniquities. It gracefully speaks to the Isaiah 53 prophecy, the story of our Savior and his suffering. It tells us He knows what it’s like to be rejected, despised, and acquainted with grief. This gives me hope and reinforces that I am not alone in the battles of this life.
He bears the griefs and sorrows of us all, and He was wounded for our transgressions and iniquity. What astonishes me to this day is that He did not open His mouth in defense; He truly was a lamb led to slaughter, even though He was innocent. What strength and trust He had in His Father. He poured out His soul unto death to intercede for our transgressions. This is a song I will listen to many times. It reminds me that He understands what we go through and that we are never alone. He is interceding for us all in everything. He has already faced anything we could face, and we can lean on His strength to carry us through.
