History of the Jews in Five Minutes

History of the Jews in Five Minutes

The Jewish Agency for Israel released an article stating that as of September 2021 there are 15.2 million Jews living in the world.

Jerusalem has 6,930,000 and the United States is the second largest holder at 6,000,000. Why is this significant to the history of the Jews and their nation? (www.jewishagency.org). The number 4 signifies many different symbolic meanings. In the Hebrew alphabet, it is the letter “D” dalet; meaning door, poor, lift up. The word Jews has 4 letters in it. Yeshua is known as the door and he comes down to those who need lifting up and are poor in spirit. We certainly can witness that the Jewish nation was often in need of deliverance, and to be lifted up from war for centuries. Even in the Garden of Eden we see war on the nephesh meaning soul in Hebrew. Were Adam and Eve Jewish?

Jerusalem has been given a distinct honor of promise from Yahweh, the Hebrew name for God, that He has set watchmen on her walls forever. Isaiah the prophet stated, “On your wall, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night, they shall never be silent.” The word for “never” in Hebrew is tamid, תָּמִיד (taw-meed). This means (continuity: of going on without interruption continuously). A perpetual sign that Jews no matter what was, is, or comes their way, will have Yeshua, known as the The Lion of the tribe of Judah (Hebrew: אריה יהודה, Aryeh Yehudah) to be the ultimate watchmen on the wall.

Gleaning from the history of the Jews, to present day Jews and future, Jerusalem will be “A city not forsaken”; Isaiah 62:12b. No matter who has come against her walls, who currently occupies her walls, and who will think to tear down, the promise was declared by God himself, that all nations and tongues will see his glory. His promise is to always have a watchman on her wall.

Are we at our posts faithfully guarding the walls of our fidelity to the King of Israel, or have we let invaders take over and empty our temples of the vessels he entrusted us to protect and serve?
