Oatmeal is a classic breakfast food. It can be very nice to have something warm to eat before getting started on the tasks for the day especially on cold mornings. One of the things that might get in the way of this however is how much time preparing oatmeal can take. Of course, some types of oats take longer to cook than others but when one is in a rush it can still be tricky to get it done in time. Mark Anthony will illustrate a method that can help you get oatmeal ready quickly without cooking it on the stove.
And as Mark will show fast oatmeal doesn’t have to be boring, there are many things you can use for toppings to make your oatmeal special. The video gives some suggestions for the dried fruits you can add. If you don’t have allergies to them you might want to consider nuts and seeds as well. If time isn’t as much of a concern as the thought of cleaning a pot later you could consider cutting some fresh fruit to include as an option as well. I think small pieces of fresh apples with walnuts and cinnamon can make for a nice flavor combination but I think dried apples would work great too.
Although the video focuses on oatmeal Mark Anthony also illustrates how to make cream of wheat quickly with a simple adjustment to the method he used for fast oatmeal. This way you can have even more variety in the morning without waiting as long as one might expect. So, if you would like something besides a boxed premade cereal for a change this could be very helpful and it may also save you same money as premade cereals can get pricey at times. Regardless as to the reason you watch this video I hope you have a good breakfast.
