Potato Wedges

Well for the reason just described.  It appeals to our senses.  It has a mild flavor that takes on salt, seasoning and some fats easily. Here in this video, you get an idea of seasonings you can try.  We also love potatoes because of the variations that can be made.  They can be whipped into light fluffy cloud like texture or crispy deliciousness like in the video.   

Something you might not know is that they actually provide a steady source of glucose which is better than spikes that come from other carbohydrates people eat.  Carbs can aid in the production of tryptophan and potassium which are building blocks for serotonin, the feel-good hormone.  Be careful though, you don’t want to get addicted to the dopamine rush and overdo it.  They are good for you though.   

Potato’s support heart health, immunity, and nervous system functions.  You can get a lot of nutrients from potatoes.  They provide us with potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin B6.  So have some potatoes, just eat them in moderation.  Start with this great recipe of Potato wedges, a crowd pleaser.
